Hi all!

It was great to meet some of you last night and we can't wait to meet more of you!

Lorc and I began playing WoW about 2 years ago on the Tanaris server. We took a break about a year ago and after missing the people, the raiding and the challenges we decided to start playing again. We transferred to this server because two of the people we had kept in touch with over the year break had moved here. Since we started back we have been looking for our new "home" and are excited to have found Fate.

Lorc and I have been playing computer games and video games for as long as we both can remember. We met 9 years ago through a MUD that we both used to play called Realms of Despair. We got married 5 years ago and have 4 furry, short-legged kids (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). I work at Ohio State as a fiscal officer and Lorc works for a small engineering company.

We both love achievements - so if you ever want to work on one (or anything really...) just look us up!

So it still bothers me, that Lorc and I never finished this acheivement prior to our break from WoW. We had a good group at the time and we were always 1 boss away from it.

Any one still have the desire/need to try this?

I know its soooo old now... but I.... NEEED...... the achievement :)

Aight well here is the story.. so i no longer have a working computer of raiding capabilities... my os got royally fucked... My buddy kiel grabbed me an upgrade copy of windows 7 64 bit from his school. i tried to install didnt work cuz it obviously wanst supported by my 32 bit system.. i looked online told me to copy my files and do a custom install.. so i did that.. installed windows seven tried to start it up and it said there was a prob with the install so id have to restart and do it again.. did it again.. same thing. so i now have 2 copies of windows 7 64bit and a copy of vista buisiness 32bit installed on my comp and none of them will start up and my back up disc got screwed over cuz i was a dumbass and didnt copy it at 4x i did it at a faster speed.. im stuck in windows limbo.. if anyone has any information that could help plz do so cuz otherwise i have to purchase a whole new copy of windows and completely reinstall it.. seeing as my windows 7 64bit ultimate was an upgrade disc.... FML help me.... btw im psting from my laptop but im not gonna do anything more than a 5 man on this cuz its shitty shitty...

I'm posting this here because the need to know or whatever other of our 500 forums gets less traffic...

Defile kills us in the LK fight. I see two main problems: 1. We all scatter for defile which causes the Valks to get away; and 2. We have not been able to avoid defile being dropped in the middle of whatever we are doing.

I watched the Afterlife LK video again last night and it was obvious that *only* the person with defile moved out of the group. I have no idea how they achieve this - the warning is always to late for me, but we have to figure out what the secret to this is so we can focus fire on the valks and make defile an irrelevant mechanic. To me this seems the only way to succeed consistently in this fight.

One thing I noticed whilst watching the Paragon kill is that the person recording the video has speech bubbles turned ON and everyone has DBM set to use "say" to announce defile. This worked really well as an immediate visual key as to where the defile is going to drop.

Anyhow - I am going to be looking for more of these little tidbits and would appreciate everyone else to post what they know. We have to streamline this fight to make it winnable for us. Once we get to being able to do heroics we are going to be able to gear up even further and I'm pretty sure that we will be able to down at least 4 if not 6 of the 12 encounters in heroic mode.

Because this is a progression run, we may not go in the order of sign-ups, but will put together the best balance we need to get this fight down. Please come with appropriate flasks, elixirs etc.

On progression raid nights, is important that all raiders bring flasks and come prepared for the fight. This means everyone should have Youtube'd the tankspot videos for each of the fights above. Please take care of any external distractions prior to the raid, and make sure you have a solid understanding of the fight and your role in it prior to the time invites go out.

If you are unable to come for any reason, please make sure you let us know in advance. Please ask an officer for their phone number so you can text us if necessary.

Loughlin will announce fresh/continuation prior to the raid.
