i lived with a bunch of deadbeats who all played WoW in beta, and i wanted to be cool. Mission accomplished!

I played counterstrike nonstop (still kinda do) and i also played lineage 2 (awful, awful game)

Not bothering to learn what proper gear was, alathor ended up a level 50 ret pally in stam/int gear

How/Why did you join? I've been in the guild over a year now i think, and i joined because i wanted to raid and i followed skaara into cyntex.

What was the first instance you ran that was memorable?
Vancleef! still the best instance in the game

What is your fondest and/or funniest memory in-game?
Open trade and stick it in

What are your favorite things to do in-game?
I enjoy being harassed by haxton, and just messing around with guildies with random stuff, thats why im in the guild - the people!

What are your next in-game goals?
convincing haxton to love me, and clearing ulduar

See above, although i dont know if all of fate cyntex wants to clear ulduar ( i know they all want haxtons love )

I saw the box forever and always thought about getting it and then one day ended up with it somehow. Didn’t really take at first, put it down for a few weeks and then tried again.

None online but played alot of older console games like Final Fantasy, Command & Conquer

What was your biggest noob mistake?
Only one? In the beginning I didn’t really learn to utilize the AH correctly until in my 30’s or so. A level 70 friend gave me some greens to post for him and I didn’t have enough gold for the deposits…how embarrassing, but I finally learned how to work the AH. I got my first world drop in the Blasted Lands, the Blackskull Shield, off a boar. It sold for 200g in less than 30 min and I remember thinking I was rich! Killing myself on Prince, not knowing heroism was group wide, learning to shackle correctly …I could go on and on all day people. I’m still a noob.

How long have you been in Cyntex Alliance/Fate? How/Why did you join?
Almost 2 years now. I was in a group for BM to get a key frag with Denia, Farant, Shand and I think Dices. Denia asked me and I was wishy washy about it. She just ninja invited me and I accepted, lol. That was my first time on vent too. There were groups of us going to get keyed and a couple weeks after joining, we had enough to go to Kara. Nando led/tanked it on Belias.

What was the first instance you ran that was memorable?
My very first instance was Slabs with Farant and a couple of the Ex Nihilo people. I had no idea what to do and stayed out of Shadowform the whole time. Nor had I even ever used Mind control before, lol. Yeahhh, that was fun. :I It was for the first key frag and less than a week later I was in the BM group that got me in Cyntex. We stomped it btw, lol.

What is your fondest and/or funniest memory in-game?
Oh tons. TONS.
Making it to Illidan, getting my Netherdrake, getting the Amani War Bear from ZA.
Sudnil asking me to be an officer while standing in front of Curator. (I still have the SS!)
I miss (and don’t miss) the original Kara runs where we really had to struggle to get through it. Profidio (Rescuedog’s pet)going nuts pulling everything, taking 2 hours to get a group together listening to that squeaky door over and over. Raunchy jokes about the backdoor. Accidentally pulling Maiden (don't ask...) Me trying to learn how to do a shackle. Sermanley being drunk as hell and trying to not dot said shackle. Seeing Prince the first time as well as killing myself on Prince the first time. Juggling angry hunters …good times.
Too many funny ones to mention, everything is funny to me, lol.
Hearing the Subway commercial over Alathor's vent and Lough /rw $5 Footlong...things like that are quite funny to me. The banter that goes on in our guild all the time is just really funny.
It was a really memorable experience getting to meet half the guild at Blizzcon last year too. It was as if we’d all known each other for years …and actually we pretty much have! I didn’t miss playing wow one bit that week.

What are your favorite things to do in-game?
I like raiding and gathering. I can’t really have gathering skills on Cyn so fishing is my gathering. I like having all my raiding supplies stocked up nicely so if I want to slack for a week or two and pvp or something I can. My title should probably ‘OCD Nuthoarder’. I also like strategy and love it when a big boss finally drops that we’ve been working on for hours or days!

What are your next in-game goals?
Raiding progression. Make more gold, lol. Maybe learn to heal a little better just in case .../grumble incoherently. I know I'd be a bitchy healer though...

What are your goals for Fate/Cyntex Alliance?
To keep on pushing progression as well as having fun without getting bogged down in too many details. That’s so easy to do sometimes and everyone has to be having fun or why are we here? We have to find a fine line between taking it seriously and taking it too seriously.

What advice do you have for new ?
Loaded question, lol. L2GCD? haha Ignore every ninny wow forum post you read then go to shadowpriest.com and read all you can there instead. Eliteist Jerks is also good but no matter where you read, its just advice. You still have to use your head and they are wrong about some things.
Then look for me so I can talk to you about it until your blue and no longer want to be a shadowpriest at all. Lol (Poor Itovi) People think your nitpicky when you talk about shaving ½ second off something but that’s the difference between good players and better players. 20 ½ seconds add up to 10 seconds which is a lot of dps time.
Also you can’t dps anything if your dead. Be aware of your surroundings, what going on and what’s happening to others too. Maybe you could have shielded that healer and we’d all be alive right now. And oh look, there some shit on the ground that looks funny. Well maybe, just maybe, you shouldn’t stand there! /lightbulb

What do you like to do when you are not playing WoW?
Huh? Sleep & work? I used to read a lot but …Lol, no time these days.

Lough bought it for me and told me to try it cause I was getting tired of City oh heroes/Villians, they nerfed my stalker, I couldn't teleport foe and stun them, go invis and alpa strike and one shot kill them.

Since around it first started. i was on a PVP server and Nando helped me move to Cenarius, I was around lvl 25.

Deadmines, but kara was the best first time

all of them that happens in the guild Lucella being a dominate RA, Denia opeing beers on the toilet, cyn laughing, hearing Auria in Rollen's background vent. Hax's accent (turns me on) there are too many to name.

What are your favorite things to do in-game?
I prefer questing over anything. When I started I did pretend to be a RL female and get gold off of those 30+ yr old, living in parent's basement, virgins, (Niles not included.) I even had a pic and a myspace set up to "prove" i was a real female, too bad my mic, or vent was always broke.

get back to 10,000 Gold

Make them the best on the server

Play your class the way you want, learn from your own actions, don't let someone tell you how to play it.

1. How did you come to start playing WoW?
I was a huge fan of the old Warcraft strategy games, so when WoW was released, it was only natural that I'd buy that as well. So I created a Tauren Shaman on a pvp server, played it to level 24, then quit playing for a while. A LONG while. A year or so later, my real life buddy Niles convinced myself and Sellat to make characters with him. They created gnomes (though I don't hold that against them), I created a dwarf, and things have snowballed since then.

2. What was your biggest noob mistake?
Who you callin' a noob, noob? Actually, I still make plenty of noob mistakes. I've recently given loot from Karazhan to the wrong player, and I've also been known to misclick and spam heal myself instead of the dying tank. It's easy enough to blame "lag" or "connection problems" though, so I always come out in the clear.

3. How did The Cyntex Alliance come about?
The Cyntex Alliance began as a way for myself, Niles, and Sellat to keep in touch with one another in-game. We created the guild while we were all under level 10. The name of the guild is actually a reference to Central Texas, where we all lived at the time. Niles has since moved to sunny California, but I still consider him a Central Texan in spirit. Sermanley was the first non-Texan to join the guild. We had quested with him outside of Ironforge, and found that his sense of humor meshed well with ours. Who would have thought that the little guild based in Texas would grow to a major guild with players from all over the world? That's not a rhetorical question, I expect an answer, dammit!

4. What was your first Outland instance and how did it go?
My first Outland's instance was Hellfire Ramparts, right around the tender level of 59. It's funny to think back on, but that instance was rough! We made it through the instance with relative ease up until the last boss - Vazruden the Herald and Nazan the dragon. I think we wiped like 6 times before finally downing the boss.

The night starts out fine....

5. What are your favorite things to do in-game?
I find many aspects of WoW fun. As a raider, I enjoy tanking on Loughlin and healing on Sudnil. In PVP, it's fun to go discipline spec and annoy the enemy. Arena is fun, but I haven't kept up with it near as much as I should. When I get bored with raiding, it's fun to fill the time with battlegrounds, quests, BS'ing in guild chat, or leveling an alt. I also like linking Gryo-Balanced Khorium Destroyer in trade channel. yeah. I'm THAT guy.

6. What are next your in-game goals?
In game, I'm looking to develop the PVP gear on Sudnil and the PVE gear on Loughlin. Keeping two characters geared can be a challenge, but it does help keep things interesting. I also want to get Edwikk up to level 70 so that my triad - healer, tank, dps - is complete.

7. What are your goals for Cyntex Alliance?
What has always fascinated me about The Cyntex Alliance is that we are a guild for all players. We are not a raiding guild, yet we run two Kara groups regularly and have made progress into Gruul. We are not a PVP guild, but we have players pushing 400 resilience who would totally pwn my face in a dark alley. While we have a large number of 70's conquering Azeroth, we have many low level characters making their way up the ranks. As the guild grows, I want us to keep the "fun first" mentality which has gotten us to where we are today. From a raiding perspective, I want the heads of Gruul, Magtheridon, and Void Reaver hanging above my mantle.

8. What do you like to do when you are not playing WoW?
I'm a workaholic, so much of my time is spent with my job - I work as an Assistant Project Manager for a collections agency, meaning I manage about 60 bill collectors. That's right, I'm the guy who calls you when you are past due on your car payment. Mwuhahaha. Other than that, I enjoy performing in community theatre, kicking back with my friends, and dorking out with the occasional table top roleplaying game. Yep. I enjoy a good book, especially stuff by Chuck Pahalniuk.

9. What would guildies be surprised to know about you?
Some guildies might be suprised to know that my RL fiancee is in the guild... say hi to Sybbil, everyone! Also, I have a tattoo on my leg of a phoenix bird. Yep. I'm THAT guy as well.

10. What is your favorite type of pie?
